Individual therapy occurs in the privacy of the counselling room. Together with your psychologist you discuss your concerns, what is important to you, and what you want to achieve during therapy.
Through a process of reflection and exploration, therapy aims to improve your self-awareness and knowledge, enhance your personal skills, and offer and an opportunity to practise newly developed skills to aid your recovery and improve wellbeing. It helps you to understand more about the way that you interact with the world around you, and how this in turn impacts on your relationships and your daily activities.

Sessions are 50 – 60 minutes in duration. How often you attend will be a decision you will make with your therapist during the course of the therapy.
